SOME DAY
The Preacher said to me,
"You'd better mend your way.
And this his earnest plea,
'til I said, "Sure, SOME DAY.
Today the phone did ring,
And I heard a voice say,
"Choir practice, come and sing."
"Yes, I'd love to, SOME DAY.
I opened the Bible to read
Just what it had to say.
I found exactly what I need,
Later on, that is --SOME DAY.
When Jesus' words I would hear,
Hoping for some easy way,
"My witness shall ye bear. "
"Dear Lord, I will, SOME DAY.
His reply seemed so very hard,
"The price you'll have to pay,
Is your own good rewards....
At the judgment, SOME DAY.
I did repent at this
And said, "Yes, Lord, today.
"Enter eternal bliss",
He'll say to me, SOME DAY!
